Achtung version 1.1 : the first update by leaving things out!

Users from Kuwait to Germany are addicted to the iPad game “Achtung”. Many people requested a simple but crucial feature to be added in the update for the game. Holes. And now we’re proud to say: it‘s got holes in it!

The game “Achtung” has hit a top-10 ranking in multiple countries and #1 in Germany and a #1 spot as a US family game. As developers we received massive feedback and on Youtube videos appeared of people playing “Achtung” at work, home and elsewhere. Users had 1 request: put holes in the game!

We listened. The new version will deliver players a ‘hole’ lot of extra fun. In version 1.1 snakes now have random holes appearing in them. Offering much needed escape routes when you’re trapped and better ways to corner your opponents. Other additions are extra soundeffects and multitasking support. To celebrate the release we’ve shot a hole in the price of the app. “Achtung” 1.1 is free of charge for one week only.

It just became the #1 most popular iPad app in Germany and is in the top 10 iPad games in The United States, Italy, Poland, Germany, France & Netherlands. The iPad is, among other things, a great gaming device. Dutch app developer iSignz today has launched the game “Achtung”. A simple and addictive multiplayer game in which players have to eliminate each other by making smart moves. Achtung can be played with up to 4 friends.

Everyone knows the classic game Snake from their old cell phone. Think of “Achtung” as the classic game Snake in multiplayer battle mode. Corner your opponents and make them crash. Stay alive as long as you can.

Players battle over several rounds. In the end the player with the most points wins. It’s that easy. The game enables adjustment of the number of rounds, music and speedsettings. The iPad version can hold from 2 up to 4 players. Special thanks go out to creators of this 1995 DOS classic: Filip Oscadal and Kamil Dolezal. The name “Achtung” means “watch out” in German.

iSignz is a developer of iPhone and iPad apps based in The Netherlands. The game “Achtung” is our first iPad app. iSignz has developed “Taxi Hold’em” in 2008, a gimmick app for getting a cab on crowded streets. In 2009 iSignz launched the app “Aanbieding”, a supermarket-discount app for the Dutch market. Being the the nr. 1 paid app for 1 month in The Netherlands.

Leuk nieuws: Aanbieding was de 5e best verkochte nederlandse iPhone applicatie van 2009! (bron: Elsevier, Distimo) en we hebben meer mooi nieuws.. Aanbieding versie 2.0 is vorige week gesubmit naar de Appstore! Waarschijnlijk komt de update deze week beschikbaar. (prijs: €1,59, gratis update voor Aanbieding gebruikers). Wat er allemaal vernieuwd is in versie 2.0 maken we later deze week bekend.

Een nieuwe mijlpaal! Sinds de lancering van de iPhone applicatie Aanbieding op 1 juni 2009, hebben duizenden consumenten de app gebruikt om geld te besparen op hun dagelijkse boodschappen. Inmiddels is er gezamenlijk door Aanbieding gebruikers reeds €100.000 bespaard.

Om dit te vieren is Aanbieding tijdelijk 50% in prijs verlaagd. Aanbieding kost nu €0,79 totdat we versie 1.3 van Aanbieding uitbrengen.
